HKS degree credit: Most students may count the equivalent of one four-credit cross-registered course per semester of residency. Joint HKS/HBS and HKS/HLS candidates follow their program rules.

Pre-approved: Graduate Harvard courses and all Fletcher courses. At MIT, graduate courses numbered 11, 14, 15, or 17 are pre-approved; other MIT graduate courses require an HKS degree-credit petition.

Registration: Use my.Harvard/Crimson Cart for Harvard and MIT. Fletcher requires a PDF petition to the Fletcher Registrar. Follow the host school's rules and the earlier applicable add/drop deadline.

Harvard College: Undergraduate courses do not earn HKS degree credit except approved language courses.
